Joe "Nick" Nicholson passed away on
July 16th, 2006. He had been involved with the Tracker program from
the beginning. He attended JWS with the first Teams to be trained and
became the Sr. NCOIC for CTT #7 & #8 with the 1st Cav. He remained
with the 62nd IPCT, and went on to help establish the Ft. Gordon Tracking
School. Nick retired out as Sgt. Major in 1973. Thanks to Bob Baker and Buddy for attending Nick's services on 22 July, 2006. This photo shows Nick with Neil Couch - and I am sure they are together again. May Light Perpetual shine upon them both - and may Sambo be biting Neil's boot again. |

This photo of Gary D. Nabors and Greg
Hickey was taken during their tour in 1970 with the 66th IPCT. Dewitt
Roberts found Gary's sister in VA and found this: "Gary was killed in an auto accident in Midland Texas in 1990, which is the reason we haven't been able to locate him. He was a graduate of the fifth Visual Tracker Class in BJWS. He served his first tour at the 4th Div, came to Ft. Gordon as an instructor for the first graduating class, and went back to the 66th IPCT, at the 25th Div for a second tour before leaving the military as a Staff Sgt. Worked his entire life in the Oil Fields. He was a passenger in the auto accident. Gary had lot of friends looking for him." Rest in Peace, Gary. |
